Francesca and Gianmarco met me a few years ago on the occasion of the wedding of Gianmarco’s sister that I had photographed near Castell’Arquato (PC), they too live in this area of Emilia that I adore.
Their choice went to a particularly suggestive church in Vigolo Marchese (PC), a few minutes’ drive from Castell’Arquato, which offers one of the most beautiful religious and architectural testimonies of this area: a magnificent Romanesque brick and stone complex, remained almost intact in its original appearance of the eleventh century.
Gianmarco arrived at the appointment with his beloved on a splendid vintage Lambretta while Francesca, anticipated at the entrance by her beautiful grandchildren, showed up with a convertible black Beetle.
At the end of the ceremony the sky was overcast but we had time to stop and take some shots of the couple in the vineyards of the Villa Castellina – Soragna (PR), a beautiful Baroque-style building, which with its Italian garden, the frescoed portico and its elegant rooms, hosted the aperitif and dinner prepared by Catering di Villa Garibaldi in Piacenza.
